11th UMS Convocation 2009 was coming soon. The graduate students will attend for this huge events. It is the most important events for them. Their parents will be proud for them and glad to have a child who graduate from university. Hopefully this events will be lively and memorable...

Boys overtake girls in maths GCSE as coursework dropped

Boys were beating girls in the maths GCSEs after removing the coursework. Boys were achieved better result compared to the previous year. In the past century, we had the sense that girls had to work hard to caught up with boys.

But in this year, boys are doing better than girls at GCSE maths. According to the research, the proportion of boys getting grades A to C in maths rose from 55.8% to 57.6% while the rate for girls stayed the same at 56.8%. The number of girls getting an A in maths dropped slightly.

The coursework marks can affect the examination’s marks. Coursework require planning, conscientiousness, skills, techniques, and need to submit on the deadlines. Girls who have the soft personalities and work more consistently can do better in the coursework. They tend to obtained higher marks in the coursework compared to the boys. Removing coursework seems will disadvantages girls.

In my opinion, the gender is not one of the reasons to determine and compared the exam results between boys and girls. Boys and girls have the same right and paths to gain the knowledge. They are fair in the education. They need to give effort in study. The effort is the key of success.

Life in the UMS is bored, bored, and bored….

Hopefully something will happen to me that will cheerful me…

Make my life become more interesting, funny, and sweet…

6.30 am	Woke up. Took bath and get ready to the class
7.20 am	Queue to get into the bus to the class
7.40 am	Arrived at the class
8.00 am	Having computer security mid-term test
9.30 am	Finished the computer security mid-term test
9.45 am	Get the bus to the library and surf Internet
1.00 pm	Having lunch at the library’s cafe
5.00 pm	Get the bus back to Kampung E
5.30 pm	Bought the food for the dinner
6.30 pm	Took bath and washed the clothes
7.30 pm	Having dinner and watched the movies
9.00 pm	Start do the assignment
11.00 pm	Playing games
12.00 am	Sleep and have a sweet dreams

Every day in the UMS is almost the same, nothing is news and interesting. The day is getting bored and busy with the assignment, projects, quizzes, and test. The 24 hours a day seems not enough for a students. Students were stressed and bored with the daily life in the UMS. The day turned cheerful and joyful when some events or festivals were hold in the UMS. Students were happy to participated and joined to the events to learn some culture of particular events or religions.
